As a child, Gijs was very curious about life. What's This, what we call existence? What's life all about? Initially, Gijs looked for answers in science. His passion was playing with computers.
He worked several years in academic research and started a software company. After leaving the business world, he looked for answers to life's big questions from non-duality teachers, such as Jeff Foster and Rupert Spira.
Gijs writes short stories for children as well as adults that convey the essence of the world's spiritual and religious traditions, in simple language that speaks to heart.
When not writing, he enjoys sailing and spending time with family and friends. Gijs is from the Netherlands and lives in Freiburg, Germany with his wife and two sons.
