Leon's Color Crisis

Life can be confusing for all young chameleons. But especially for Leon the Chameleon.

Since he was little, Leon’s eyes have been stuck looking sideways, so he can’t see himself and never knows what color he is. Others are constantly telling him what he should be…blue, green, orange…but they contradict each other and change their minds. How can Leon find out his true color?

Leon’s Color Crisis is a story about discovering our authentic self amid the noise of the world.

I warmly recommend the charming tale about the adventures of Eddy the Whirlpool.

Rupert Spira

As we know, children are naturally close to their true being. This makes them especially open to the perennial understanding lying at the heart of all the great religious and spiritual traditions: that beneath our whirling thoughts and emotions we can find unshakeable peace and happiness. The children of today will also be running the world in thirty years! With this in mind, I’d like to warmly recommend Gijs Hubben’s charming tale about the adventures of Eddy the Whirlpool.

It unveils two timeless truths: that reality is a single, infinite and indivisible whole; and that happiness can be found in the understanding that we essentially are that reality. This is the simple joy of being.

Hi, I'm Gijs!

My background is in science, and for many years I worked in my own tech startup. Achieving success was my priority. But over time, my perspective shifted.

I found myself drawn to non-dual spiritual traditions: philosophies that explore the fundamental unity of all that exists. This helped me remember what I once knew, but had forgotten.

This journey came with a surprising change in direction: I spontaneously began writing stories to remind myself, and others, of what life is really about.

I really enjoy the creative process of bringing stories to life. I hope you enjoy reading them!
